PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Good Thursday everyone! Little has changed to the forecast for today from what we’ve seen over days prior...
It was another quiet start on radar this morning, with the exception of a stray shower along the Forgotten Coast. Today we saw a similar situation to the last few days where storms bubbled up with the heat of the afternoon. Most of the scattered showers and thunderstorms will fizzle out heading into the evening. Tonight, we’ll see mostly quiet and dry conditions with the chance of a stray shower.
Highs today topped out in the upper 80s near 90 on the coast and low 90s inland with a heat index in the upper 90s near 100° for all. Tonight’s temperatures will drop into the low to mid 70s tonight.
We’ll see this same pattern continue into tomorrow before high pressure settles in over the weekend and limits the amount of afternoon storms we can develop. Rain chances will go down to 20% over the weekend.
Your 7 Day Forecast keeps this summery pattern intact through the rest of the work week with a slightly drier forecast for the weekend.
