Veterans and First Responders Appreciation Lunch at Texas Roadhouse Tuesday
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Texas Roadhouse Rolls, who could say no to that? Tuesday afternoon, community partners teamed again to give our veterans and first responders a free lunch at Texas Roadhouse.
The Veterans and First Responders Appreciation Lunch has been going on for the past six years.
Countless sponsors have pitched in for a way to say thank you to those men and women who give so much to our community and country.
”When they come here, it is all about shaking hands and just showing our appreciation. We live in the greatest country that exists; we are happy to be Americans and that is our appreciation. So to be able to pay for a meal is nothing compared to what they have done for us.” Army veteran and A Superior Air Conditioning Company CEO Jimy Thorpe said.
The free hot meal included your choice of steak or chicken, and...
”A baked potato, and a salad, a beverage and that’s the meal. There are tons of giveaways basically. There are so many giveaways that I think everybody leaves with something; goody baskets, gift cards you name it,” A Superior Air Conditioning Company’s Marta Thorpe.
The free luncheon is a quarterly event.
The next one for Bay County will be October 19th at Texas Roadhouse. There is also a free luncheon for Walton County October 12th at Faith Assembly Christian Church. Both run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
