Thousands of Gulf Power customers in Washington County are without power
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - UPDATE 7/22/21 9:27 p.m.: Gulf Power officials say power has been restored.
UPDATE 7/22/21 8:49 p.m.: Gulf Power officials say the new estimated time for power to be restored is midnight.
More than 3,000 Gulf Power customers in Washington County are in the dark Thursday and it could be 6 a.m. Friday before they get the power restored.
Gulf Powers officials tell us the power outage was caused by damaged equipment that serves the area.
They tell us new equipment is coming in for the repairs and they have all hands on deck with crews on-site working to restore it.
The estimated time for the power to come back on is between 4 and 6 a.m.
