PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -HappyThursday morning everyone!
It’s a quiet start to the day for NWFL. High pressure is sitting to the northeast which is sending a northerly/northeasterly flow our way, which means, dry air is filtering into the Panhandle. With that, skies are clear and dewpoints are comfortable in the 50s. However, high pressure will shift to the southeast this afternoon which will drive an easterly flow into the area later today. That shift in winds will lead to an increase in moisture which will give us a slightly humid feel to the air and the chance for a stray afternoon shower.
Temperatures today will top out in the low to mid-80s this afternoon.
