PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - This Tuesday morning at 4:14 CT kicked off the start of the summer season and it definitely feels like summer today in NWFL!

It’s a quiet start to the day with just an isolated storm or two moving through the Gulf. Most of the day will be dry and sunny for the Panhandle, but we could see a few storms develop along the sea breeze this afternoon. This evening will be mostly dry too.

Temperatures today will remain toasty with highs climbing into the low to mid 90s along the coast and inland highs topping out in the mid to upper 90s. However, once we factor in the humidity, feels-like temperatures will sit in the upper 90s and triple digits across the Panhandle this afternoon. Make sure to stay hydrated and wear comfy, light clothes. Also, make sure your pets have access to cold water and a cool place to beat the heat!
