PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Happy Independence Day! Unfortunately, if you want to head to the beach you’re going to be dodging storms this holiday.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to hang around the Panhandle today, but the good news is that most of the storms will have moved out by this evening. So the storms may disturb your beach plans, but the storms shouldn’t affect firework displays this evening.
Temperatures today will top out in the mid 80s for the beaches and upper 80s to low 90s for our inland locations. Feels-like temperatures will sit in the 90s and triple digits this afternoon.
