PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! It’s going to be an incredible day to get out to all the events and festivities celebrating Dr.King.

It was another chilly start with temperatures in the 30s, but temperatures will warm into the upper 60s this afternoon! Tonight’s temperatures will only drop into the 50s which is about 20 degrees warmer than last night. The warm-up will continue over the next few days as warm air moves in off the Gulf of Mexico.

The air coming in off the Gulf is also very moist, with that, we’ll have a shot at an isolated shower tonight, Tuesday afternoon, and Wednesday afternoon. Widespread rain will return Thursday with the passage of a cold front. We’ll see a brief break from the rain Friday before storms return this weekend.

Due to the warm and humid air, fog will be an issue over the next few days.
