PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - After a chilly start to the week, temperatures will be climbing to well above average to end the week.

It was another chilling start to the day with most temperatures in the 30s this morning, but temperatures did climb into the mid to upper 60s this afternoon. Typically temperatures, for this time of the year, would sit in the upper 40s to low 50s overnight and low 70s during the day. Tonight’s temperatures will be a lot warmer, and closer to normal, in the 40s and 50s. Wednesday’s temperatures will sit int he 70s and 80s! Most of us will see the thermometer near, or surpass, 80 this week!

The warm weather is thanks in part to a southerly flow developing, as well as, a ridge of high pressure overhead. That ridge is also helping to keep our skies clear. NWFL will stay sunny and rain-free until our next front slides through Saturday.
