McGuire’s Irish Pub to open in PCB
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - McGuire’s Irish Pub is coming to Panama City Beach. The former Boarshead restaurant was purchased by McGuire’s parent company last week.
The Boarshead property has been vacant since Hurricane Michael in 2018. Officials said the restaurant is expected to open in 2024.
“Yes, we’re currently we’re getting it ready for a reopening. We’re going to open it back as a McGuire’s Irish Pub of Panama City. There was a lot of damage done to that building during Hurricane Michael, so they are having to gut some of it and reroof it. We are working on the layout so that it’ll almost it’ll mirror the McGuire’s in Pensacola and Destin. It’ll have a full brewery and a gift shop, a stage and entertainment area, and an outside area like you see at the Mcguire’s of Destin. We’re hoping to be open and up and running by the spring of 2024,” Dawn Graves, the Corporate Administrator, with McGuire’s Management Group, said.
Graves also told NewsChannel 7 that they are very excited to be coming to PCB.
“We’ve had our eyes on Panama City for a few years now and everything fell into place and it just worked out for the Boarshead location,” Graves said.
McGuire’s officials said the renovations of the new pub will take around 12 months.
